The Taungoo Empire, once a dominant force in Southeast Asia, faced significant challenges following the death of its ruler, Bayinnaung. The empire, which had expanded its territory extensively, began to unravel as former vassals sought independence. One of the most notable breakaways was Siam, which distanced itself from Taungoo and engaged in conflict with Burma.
