Katerina Putina, the second daughter of Vladimir Putin and Lyudmila Shkrebneva, was born on August 31, 1986, in Dresden, East Germany, where her father was stationed as a KGB officer at the time. Like her sister Maria, Katerina has largely stayed out of the public eye, with the Putin family fiercely guarding their privacy.
Katerina, also known as Yekaterina Tikhonova, later took on her mother's maiden name as part of maintaining her private life separate from her father's high-profile career. She is known to have pursued an academic and professional career in acrobatic rock'n'roll dancing and holds a significant role in Russian academia. She studied at Saint Petersburg State University and later earned a degree in physics and mathematics. Katerina also leads projects related to artificial intelligence and advanced scientific research through the Moscow State University foundation.
Though she is seldom seen in public, Katerina has developed a notable career in her own right, distancing herself from her father's political influence while working in fields such as innovation and education.
