Usha Vance

"Usha Vance, born Usha Chilukuri on January 6, 1986, is an American lawyer and the wife of J.D. Vance, Ohio's junior U.S. Senator and Donald Trump's 2024 running mate. She was born to Telugu-speaking Indian immigrants in San Diego, California, and excelled academically, attending Yale University and earning a degree in history before receiving a Master of Philosophy from Cambridge and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. Usha Vance clerked for prominent judges, including Chief Justice John Roberts and Judge Brett Kavanaugh, and worked at the law firm Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP until 2024. She has been involved with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and other boards and gave a keynote address at the 2024 Republican National Convention in support of her husband. Usha and J.D. Vance married in 2014 and have three children. She maintains her Hindu faith while her husband practices Christianity, creating a unique interfaith dynamic in their family."
