John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States, serving from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. Born in 1917 into a prominent political family, Kennedy served in the Navy during World War II before entering politics. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1946 and to the Senate in 1952. Kennedy's presidency was marked by the Cuban Missile Crisis, the establishment of the Peace Corps, and the push for civil rights legislation.
