George W. Bush

George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States, served two terms from 2001 to 2009. A member of the Republican Party, he led the nation through pivotal events including the September 11 terrorist attacks, the subsequent War on Terror, and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Before his presidency, Bush was the Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000. Born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, he is the eldest son of George H. W. Bush, the 41st U.S. President. Bush earned degrees from Yale University and Harvard Business School and later pursued a career in business and politics. His presidency was marked by major domestic and international challenges, including Hurricane Katrina and the 2008 financial crisis.
