On 03/12/2020, Gordon Ramsay launched the first Gordon Ramsay Street Burger restaurant at the One New Change retail complex in the St. Paul’s area of London. The opening introduced a new fast casual dining concept focused on simplified menus, fixed price meals, and British sourced ingredients. The St. Paul’s location marked the debut of the Street Burger brand, which was designed to offer accessible pricing compared with Ramsay’s existing restaurant portfolio. At launch, the restaurant centered on a £15 meal deal that included any burger, seasoned fries, and unlimited soft drinks. The concept emphasized UK provenance, with 100 percent grass fed beef sourced from the Lake District and potatoes supplied through networks associated with chef Pierre Koffmann. The streamlined menu focused on a small number of burgers, sides, and shakes, aiming to deliver quick service while maintaining ingredient quality standards. Signature burgers at opening included the O.G.R., featuring a beef patty with smoked cheese and house relish, and the Hell’s Kitchen burger with jalapeño and Padron pepper salsa paired with smoked sriracha sauce. A vegetarian option, the Butternut Bhaji, combined butternut squash, courgette, and masala spices. The layout and ordering system followed a counter service model with casual seating designed for high turnover within a shopping and office district. The December 2020 opening came during a period when Ramsay expanded into more accessible dining formats. Street Burger later grew into a multi location brand across London and other UK cities, with additional international locations added in subsequent years.
