On 04/06/2022, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay made a surprise appearance in a MrBeast YouTube video recreating a real life version of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. The video, published on Jimmy Donaldson’s MrBeast channel, featured contestants who had found golden tickets inside Feastables chocolate bars competing in a series of elimination challenges inside a themed chocolate factory set. The production included games such as a Mentos based toss challenge and a hide and seek round, narrowing the field to three finalists who advanced to the final stage judged by Ramsay.
Gordon Ramsay appeared as the guest judge for a 45 minute dessert making challenge involving the final three contestants. In line with his television judging style, Ramsay evaluated presentation, taste, and creativity while providing direct critiques during the tasting. During the judging segment, he rejected one dessert after tasting it and continued evaluating the remaining entries before selecting the winner. The segment served as the final decision point determining who would receive the grand prize tied to the chocolate factory challenge.
Contestant Dallin Lambert won the competition with a Funfetti cake, earning the symbolic deed to the chocolate factory. He ultimately chose to take a cash alternative of $500,000 instead of ownership of the set based prize. The video also featured appearances from competitive eating champions Joey Chestnut and Matt Stonie, who participated in earlier challenges within the factory themed environment. The collaboration combined MrBeast’s large scale challenge format with Ramsay’s culinary judging role and amassed millions of views shortly after release.
