Spa at Low Wood Bay Earns Five Bubble Rating

In September 2024, The Spa at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa attained the Good Spa Guide’s Five Bubble Luxury rating, the organisation’s highest Bubble Rating. The recognition made Low Wood Bay the first spa in Cumbria and North West England to achieve the standard. The rating followed a detailed assessment covering the spa’s facilities and services, the performance of the spa team, cleanliness, accessibility, dining and distinctive features. Low Wood Bay achieved an overall assessment score of 98%, including 100% scores for fitness and sports facilities and sustainability. Inspectors highlighted the thermal facilities, service, food and setting overlooking Lake Windermere among the reasons for awarding Five Bubble Luxury status. The Good Spa Guide continues to list Low Wood Bay at Five Bubble Luxury, citing its thermal facilities, attentive service, Lake Windermere setting and dining experience. For our team, the 2024 rating provided independent recognition of the standards being delivered across the spa and placed Low Wood Bay among a small group of English spas holding the Guide’s highest classification at the time.
