Rebranding to Wild Boar Estate

In 2024, we rebranded The Wild Boar as Wild Boar Estate, reflecting a broader focus on the property and the experiences available across its 72 acres of private rural woodland near Windermere. English Lakes’ company history records the rebrand as taking place during 2024 and notes that it included an enhanced wedding venue offer and additional outdoor activities. The new identity placed greater emphasis on the estate as a whole rather than simply the hotel. Guests could explore woodland trails and take part in bookable outdoor experiences including falconry, archery, clay pigeon shooting and axe throwing. The woodland, which includes its own tarn, also became an important part of the venue’s expanded wedding proposition, providing couples with outdoor settings for photography and activities alongside the Undermillbeck function room and the hotel’s accommodation and dining facilities. The change retained the character of The Wild Boar while presenting the hotel, woodland, food, weddings and outdoor activities together under the Wild Boar Estate name.
