Incorporation of English Lakes Hotels Limited

On 16 May 1979, we established English Lakes Hotels Limited as a private limited company. The incorporation formalised the English Lakes hotel business under a company that remains active today, registered as company number 01420143. Find and Update Company Information The new company built on a family hospitality business that was already well established at Low Wood and had expanded through the acquisition of properties including the Wild Boar, the Royal Hotel and the Waterhead Hotel. Our own historical record identifies the establishment of English Lakes Hotels Limited as one of the principal developments of the 1970s. Low Wood remained closely associated with the company following incorporation. Today, Companies House records our registered office as English Lakes Hotels Offices, Low Wood, Ambleside Road, Windermere, Cumbria, LA23 1LP.
