On 06/01/2020, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first Serie A hat-trick for Juventus during a commanding 4–0 victory over Cagliari at Allianz Stadium in Turin. The performance marked several historic milestones in Ronaldo’s career, including becoming the first Portuguese player ever to score a hat-trick in Italy’s top division. The match also established him as the first footballer to record hat-tricks in the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 49th minute after taking advantage of a defensive mistake by Cagliari defender Ragnar Klavan. Intercepting the loose ball inside the penalty area, Ronaldo rounded goalkeeper Robin Olsen before calmly finishing into the net. The goal gave Juventus control early in the second half after a scoreless opening 45 minutes. His second goal arrived in the 67th minute from the penalty spot after teammate Paulo Dybala was fouled inside the area. Ronaldo converted confidently to double Juventus’ lead and continue his strong scoring form during the 2019–20 season. Only minutes later, he assisted Gonzalo Higuaín for Juventus’ third goal with a precise pass during a fast attacking move. Ronaldo completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute by finishing low beneath goalkeeper Robin Olsen following another quick Juventus attack. The goal sealed the 4–0 victory and brought his total to 56 career hat-tricks for club and country combined at that time. Supporters at Allianz Stadium celebrated the achievement as another example of Ronaldo’s continued effectiveness after his move from Real Madrid to Juventus in 2018. The hat-trick became one of the defining moments of Ronaldo’s second season in Italian football. Later that same year, he went on to become the fastest player in Serie A history to reach 50 league goals, achieving the milestone in only 61 appearances. Ronaldo eventually finished the 2019–20 Serie A campaign with 31 league goals and helped Juventus secure a ninth consecutive Italian league title. The performance against Cagliari also highlighted Ronaldo’s remarkable adaptability across Europe’s major football leagues. By 2020, he had already accumulated numerous scoring records in England with Manchester United and in Spain with Real Madrid. Achieving another historic first in Italy reinforced his reputation as one of football’s most prolific and versatile forwards. As of May 2026, Ronaldo continued his professional career with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where his official career goal tally had risen to 971 goals for club and country combined. #CristianoRonaldo #Juventus #SerieA #HatTrick #CR7 #FootballHistory #ItalianFootball
