Arden Opens Its Purpose-Built Shepley Lane Factory

In 1985, we moved into a new purpose-built factory at Shepley Lane Industrial Estate in Hawk Green, Marple. The move provided Arden with dedicated manufacturing premises as the business expanded and continued investing in computer-controlled production technology. Arden's company history records that the new factory was formally opened by Professor John Ashworth, then Vice-Chancellor of the University of Salford. Shepley Lane became Arden's long-term home. Although the site has subsequently been expanded and redeveloped, it remains the headquarters of the Arden Group, with the current address given as Arden House, Shepley Lane Industrial Estate, Hawk Green, Marple, Stockport
