In 1984, Arden Dies established a relationship with German die-making and tooling specialist Marbach, which acquired a shareholding in our Stockport business. Marbach identifies its participation in Arden as the starting point of its international expansion, while Arden's own history describes the relationship as a partnership with the company that later became a co-owner.
The relationship gave Arden access to additional expertise and supported further investment in manufacturing technology as the business expanded during the 1980s. It developed into a long-term partnership: Arden Dies continues to be listed within Marbach's international network as a joint venture in die-cutting technology.
