On 26 May 2020, we announced that Arden Dies and Arden Engraving had achieved ISO 14001 certification for their environmental management systems. The international standard provided a formal framework for managing and reducing the environmental impact associated with our die-making and CNC engraving operations. The certification reflected measures already being introduced across our manufacturing operations, including increased recycling capacity, monitoring energy consumption, reducing plastic packaging and removing chemical processes from production. Our environmental management system also established processes for setting objectives, managing resources and continually reviewing environmental performance. At the time, Arden reported that it was the first die-making and engraving company in the UK to achieve the accreditation. The certification placed these environmental practices within the recognised ISO 14001 management framework and provided a basis for further initiatives in waste reduction and resource use.
