On 4 March 2026, the Marion Area Convention and Visitors Bureau featured Wilson Bohannan in its America 250 coverage of Marion’s industrial history. The article, Marion, Ohio: Industry and Innovation from Small Town to Big Machines and World-Changing Impact, presented our company alongside other manufacturers and engineering organizations that have contributed to the city’s industrial development.
The feature traced our connection with Marion to 1927, when Wilson Bohannan Tway relocated the business from Brooklyn, New York. It also noted that the company remained family owned and operated in Marion under Howard Smith and his daughter Sarah Rassell. The story formed part of Marion’s local observance of America’s 250th anniversary, which included a broader effort to document the community’s contributions to American industry and innovation
