On 20/10/2015, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, made a surprise appearance in Norfolk to support injured veterans participating in the Walking With The Wounded charity’s “Walk of Britain.” The event was part of a 1,000-mile (approximately 1,600 km) fundraising trek from Scotland to London, undertaken over 72 days to raise awareness and funds for veterans transitioning to civilian life. During the visit, Prince Harry joined a team of six wounded veterans, including four from the United Kingdom and two from the United States, as they passed through the village of Little Walsingham. His unannounced presence drew attention from local residents and supporters along the route. While in the village, he stopped at the Walsingham Farm Shop, where staff had prepared food for the walking team. According to reports, a staff member named Shannon Warby offered him a sausage roll, which he accepted, later describing it as “beautiful.” The interaction became one of the widely noted moments of the visit due to its informal nature. This appearance marked Prince Harry’s second involvement with the 2015 Walk of Britain. He had previously joined participants for a 17-mile segment in Shropshire in late September. His continued participation reflected his ongoing support for initiatives focused on rehabilitation and reintegration of injured service personnel.
