The reign of Razadarit marked a pivotal period in the history of the Pegu kingdom, which was located in the Irrawaddy Delta region. Razadarit ascended to the throne in 1384 and ruled until 1421. His leadership was characterized by efforts to strengthen the kingdom's political and military power, which contributed to a period of stability and prosperity. Under his rule, Pegu expanded its influence and established itself as a significant power in the region. However, the kingdom faced challenges from emerging dynasties, particularly the Taungoo dynasty, which sought to expand its territory. The Taungoo dynasty ultimately conquered Pegu in 1539, capitalizing on the inexperience of Razadarit's successors. Although there was a brief revival of the Pegu kingdom between 1550 and 1552, it was unable to regain its former strength and was decisively defeated by the Taungoo forces in 1552, leading to the decline of Pegu's influence in the region.
