After the severe disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the return of international travel and Glasgow’s hosting of COP26 gave us the opportunity to rapidly rebuild our operations. Having spent much of the previous year with very little vehicle activity, we had to scale up quickly to meet the transport demands surrounding the conference.
For COP26, we recruited around 140 additional chauffeurs and brought approximately the same number of additional vehicles into operation. At the height of the event, our team was delivering more than 300 hires a day. This rapid expansion represented a substantial operational change after the pandemic slowdown and, as our company history records, played an important part in Little’s recovery.
COP26 was held at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, with its scheduled sessions running from 31 October to 12 November 2021.
