On 13 November 2008, Paul Kelly of Kelly Turkey Farms set a Guinness World Record for the fastest time to pluck three turkeys. At Little Claydon Farm in Essex, Paul prepared all three birds in 11 minutes 30.16 seconds, narrowly beating chef Gordon Ramsay, who completed the same challenge in 11 minutes 31.78 seconds. The record attempt formed part of Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong and was televised as part of his Christmas programming. For us, it put a traditional part of turkey preparation in an unusual national spotlight. Our company history records the 2008 Guinness World Record for plucking alongside Paul's second record in 2009, when he became the fastest person to carve a turkey.
