Ella Kelly Joins Kelly Turkeys

In September 2020, Ella Kelly joined Kelly Turkeys, becoming the third generation of the Kelly family to work in the business. She took on the role of Marketing Manager while also carrying out duties on the farm looking after the turkeys. Her arrival came as we prepared to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary in 2021. Ella joined after graduating from the University of York in 2019 with a degree in environment, economics and ecology. She had subsequently gained experience through a digital marketing internship, events work in London and time with the marketing team at Jamie Oliver's headquarters. Her early work with Kelly Turkeys included preparations for the anniversary year and the planned launch of a new charcuterie business. Her grandfather and company founder Derek Kelly welcomed another generation of the family into the business. Ella had already worked with us before formally joining, including on a social media campaign for the previous Christmas season. Her appointment continued the family's involvement in the Danbury business established by Derek and Mollie Kelly in 1971.
