In 2007, we developed the Low Wood Marina on the Windermere shoreline at Low Wood. Our company history describes the marina as a new development that provided Windermere with an additional boating facility, extending Low Wood's long-standing connection with activities on the lake. The marina complemented the Watersports Centre, which had been established at Low Wood in the 1980s, and strengthened the facilities available for boat owners and people taking part in watersports. English Lakes The marina provides berthing and year-round boat storage, a slipway, water and electrical supplies to berths, as well as facilities for boat owners ashore. Its development added a dedicated marina to our existing watersports operation and made greater use of Low Wood's position directly on Windermere. The marina remains part of Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa today, alongside the Watersports Centre and its sailing, paddling and other water-based activities.
