Establishment of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus

Following the collapse of peace talks, the Turkish Cypriot community declared the establishment of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus in the northern part of the island. The decision was led by Rauf Denktaş, a significant figure in the Turkish Cypriot movement. The creation of the new political entity aimed to provide security and self-governance for Turkish Cypriots amidst ongoing interethnic tensions.
