Blunsdon House Becomes Wiltshire's First Four-Star Hotel

In 1980, we became Wiltshire’s first four-star hotel. The recognition represented another stage in Blunsdon House’s development from the country club established in 1960 and the licensed hotel that followed in 1962. Our own historical record identifies 1980 as the year Blunsdon House first achieved four-star status. The four-star rating reflected the standards of accommodation, facilities and service the hotel had developed as the business expanded. Blunsdon House subsequently retained its identity as an independently owned, family-run hotel and continues to operate as a four-star property.
