Xi Jinping was born on June 15, 1953, in Beijing, China. He is the son of Xi Zhongxun, a prominent revolutionary figure and one of the founding members of the Chinese Communist Party. Growing up in a political family, Xi Jinping experienced both the privileges and challenges of being part of China’s elite, especially during the Cultural Revolution, when his father was purged, and Xi himself was sent to work in rural China as part of Mao Zedong's re-education program. These early experiences shaped his outlook and understanding of China’s political landscape. Xi Jinping steadily rose through the ranks of the Communist Party, holding various leadership positions at the provincial and national levels before becoming General Secretary of the Communist Party of China in 2012 and President of the People's Republic of China in 2013. #MomentsOfLife #China #XiJinping
