Wilson Bohannan Celebrates 150 Years

In 2010, we marked 150 years since Wilson Bohannan established the business in Brooklyn, New York, in 1860. By our 150th anniversary, manufacturing had long been centred at our Marion, Ohio, plant, and the company remained privately held and connected to the Bohannan family through successive generations. Contemporary reporting described Wilson Bohannan as employing approximately 65 people in Marion. Our customer base continued to include transportation, electrical and gas utilities, telecommunications and other industrial users, reflecting the shift from the railroad-dominated market of the company's earlier decades to a broader range of infrastructure and industrial applications. Reaching 150 years provided an opportunity to recognise that continuity while maintaining domestic padlock production in Marion.
