On 17 July 2017, MarionMade published a profile of Wilson Bohannan highlighting our long association with Marion, Ohio. The article traced the business from its founding in Brooklyn in 1860 to its relocation to Marion in the 1920s and identified Wilson Bohannan as a seventh-generation family-owned company. It also highlighted our continued manufacture of brass and stainless-steel padlocks in the United States. The MarionMade profile also documented our place in the local manufacturing community. It noted that Wilson Bohannan locks served utility, transportation, government and industrial customers and recognised the company's support for Marion organisations, including the Palace Theatre, Marion Family YMCA and educational and cultural institutions. The feature provided a contemporary account of both our manufacturing presence and our family's continuing involvement in the Marion community
