Death of Pam Smith

In 2013, Pam Norris Smith, a descendant of founder Wilson Bohannan and an owner of Wilson Bohannan Lock Company, died. Pam represented the family's continuing connection with the business through the Bohannan line and was married to Howard Smith, who had joined the company in 1973 and became president in 1995. Following her death, ownership and family involvement continued through Howard and their daughters, maintaining the company's multigenerational family ownership. Later company accounts identify their daughters and members of subsequent generations as part of the ownership and operation of Wilson Bohannan in Marion, extending the family's involvement more than 150 years after the business was established.
