UNHCR Launches Large-Scale Voluntary Repatriation to Afghanistan

The UNHCR, in collaboration with the Afghan Interim Authority, initiated a voluntary repatriation program aimed at Afghans residing abroad after the Taliban government was overthrown. This program was a response to the significant number of Afghan refugees who had fled the country due to decades of conflict and instability.
