In 1966, at the age of 16, Richard Branson dropped out of Stowe School, a prestigious boarding school in Buckinghamshire, England. He struggled with dyslexia and found traditional education challenging. Branson’s departure from school marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. Shortly after leaving, he launched his first business venture—a magazine called Student—which was aimed at giving young people a platform to express their views on various social and political issues.
This early decision to leave formal education behind in favor of pursuing his passion was the first step in what would become a highly successful career. Branson would go on to found the Virgin Group, which expanded into various industries, including music, airlines, and space travel, making him one of the most well-known entrepreneurs in the world.
