On 31/07/2006, Ramada became part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation following the separation of Cendant Corporation's hospitality businesses into a newly established, publicly traded company. The restructuring transferred Cendant's hotel franchising, vacation ownership, and vacation exchange operations to Wyndham Worldwide. Ramada, whose worldwide brand rights had been consolidated under Cendant in 2004, joined a hotel portfolio that also included Days Inn, Super 8, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. The transaction formed part of Cendant's broader plan to divide its operations into independent businesses, allowing each company to manage its respective commercial activities.
Following the separation, Ramada continued operating as a franchised hotel brand within Wyndham Worldwide's hospitality division. Its properties served domestic and international markets, with individual hotels generally operated by franchisees rather than directly owned by the parent company. Wyndham Worldwide assumed responsibility for brand management, franchising arrangements, and development activities associated with Ramada. The new corporate structure remained in place until 2018, when Wyndham Worldwide separated its hotel operations into Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, which continued managing the Ramada brand.
