In 1881, Nikola Tesla began his career at the Budapest Telephone Exchange, which was still under construction at the time of his arrival. Recognizing the facility was not yet operational, he took on the role of a draftsman at the Central Telegraph Office. His tenure there was marked by significant contributions, and within a few months, the Budapest Telephone Exchange became fully functional. Tesla was subsequently appointed as the chief electrician, a position that allowed him to implement numerous enhancements to the Central Station's equipment. Notably, he claimed to have perfected a telephone repeater or amplifier during this period, a groundbreaking innovation that, unfortunately, was never patented or publicly documented. Tesla's work at the Budapest Telephone Exchange laid the groundwork for his future inventions and solidified his reputation as a pioneer in electrical engineering and telecommunications. #mooflife #mof #MomentOfLife #NikolaTesla #BudapestTelephoneExchange #Telecommunications #ElectricalEngineering #Innovation
