Paul Bulcke, a Belgian executive who joined Nestlé in 1979 as a trainee, was part of the generation of international managers shaped by the company’s management philosophy during the 1980s and 1990s. Throughout his early career, Bulcke held operational and leadership positions across Latin America and Europe, including assignments in Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany. After serving in several regional leadership roles, he became Executive Vice President for the Americas before succeeding Peter Brabeck-Letmathe as Chief Executive Officer in 2008. Bulcke later transitioned to Chairman of the Board in 2017, continuing a leadership path shaped by Nestlé’s internal executive development culture.
