Transnistria Authorities Report on Broadcasting Antennas

Authorities in the Transnistria region reported the destruction of two transmitting antennas at the Grigoriopol transmitter facility, which was responsible for broadcasting Russian radio programs. This incident occurred near the town of Maiac, located in the Grigoriopol District, close to the Ukrainian border. The attack on the antennas followed an earlier assault on the premises of the Transnistrian state security service, indicating a potential escalation of tensions in the area. Transnistria, a breakaway region, hosts a Russian military base and a significant ammunition depot, with approximately 1,500 Russian soldiers stationed there as peacekeepers.
