Vima Takto, also known as Yangaozhen in ancient Chinese texts, played a crucial role in the expansion of the Kushan Empire into the northwest region of South Asia. The historical records, particularly the Hou Hanshu, indicate that Vima Takto successfully defeated the region known as Tianzhu, which corresponds to northwestern India.
