Spider species named after Harrison Ford

The spider species Tachymenoides harrisonfordi was named in honor of actor Harrison Ford, reflecting his commitment to environmental conservation. This naming occurred in 2023, adding to the recognition Ford has received for his advocacy work. Ford's involvement in environmental issues has been prominent, particularly highlighted during his filming of an environmental documentary in Indonesia. During this project, he interviewed the Indonesian Forestry Minister, Zulkifli Hasan, which brought attention to the challenges faced in forestry and conservation efforts in the region.
