Flame Restaurant Grand Opening Announcement

In September 2014, we opened Flame, our new main restaurant at Blunsdon House Hotel, following the closure and redevelopment of Christopher's Carvery. The project formed part of the hotel's £500,000 refurbishment programme financed by HSBC. Contemporary reporting in July had announced that Christopher's would close in August, with Flame scheduled to launch the following month. The refurbishment included a new kitchen together with new furniture and decoration in the front-of-house areas. Flame introduced a modern menu centred on charcoal-grill cooking while continuing the hotel's daytime carvery service. By early October 2014, the Clifford family confirmed publicly that the new restaurant was open for business. Flame remains the hotel's main restaurant today, serving breakfast, evening meals on selected days and Sunday lunch.
