Claude 2 Introduced

Anthropic introduced Claude 2 on July 11, 2023, as the next major generation of its AI assistant. Compared with the original Claude, Claude 2 was designed to provide stronger performance across reasoning, writing, coding, and general problem-solving tasks. One of its major improvements was its ability to handle much longer conversations and larger amounts of text, making it more useful for tasks such as analyzing documents, summarizing lengthy content, and working with complex instructions. Claude 2 also achieved improved performance on several academic and professional benchmarks, while Anthropic continued its focus on making the model helpful, honest, and harmless.
