In April 1956, Lucky Industry Corporation officially changed its name to Bando Corporation, marking an important milestone in the development of the trading business associated with Lucky Group, the predecessor of LG Group. Originally established on November 26, 1953, by Koo In-hwoi, Lucky Industry specialized in import and export operations, supporting South Korea's growing industrial and commercial sectors. The renaming reflected the company's evolving corporate identity as it developed its trading activities and strengthened its role within the expanding Lucky business group. Bando Corporation continued to facilitate international commerce and the supply of materials needed by South Korean manufacturers. The establishment of the Bando Corporation identity represented an important stage in the company's long-term growth as an international trading enterprise. In April 1959, Bando signed distribution agreements with Union Carbide International in the United States and Formosa Plastics, strengthening its ability to supply chemical products and synthetic resin materials to South Korea's domestic market. Over the following decades, the company expanded its international trading operations and was renamed Lucky-Goldstar International Corporation in January 1984, followed by LG International Corporation in 1995. In 2021, it became LX International Corporation following its separation from LG Group. The company's transformation from Lucky Industry into Bando Corporation laid the groundwork for its emergence as a major South Korean international trading and business enterprise
